FAQ

Q. Do you only accept English Literature essays?

A. As we are The University of Manchester's EAC journal, we also welcome creative writing pieces and American studies essays.

Q. Do you only accept work from current UOM students?

A. No! We also accept work from previous UOM students who have graduated in the last 3 years.

Q. Does my work need to be a certain grade in order to submit it?

A. At polyphony, we accept work at all grades, as long as they have been marked through TurnItIn. However, we will prioritise work that has been given a mark of 70 or above.

Q. The essay I’ve written is not in MHRA referencing style, can I still submit it?

A. You need to re-format your essay to be in MHRA style in order to submit it.

Q. My essay was originally submitted and marked through Turnitin but I have since edited it. Can I submit this edited version?

A. No. Your work must be in its original form which was submitted and marked through Turnitin. However, if your work is accepted you might be invited to make further edits to it.
